How much fall shedding is normal?
Around 50 to 100 hairs a day is typical, and a seasonal increase on top of that for six to eight weeks in autumn is common. Hair coming out at the root with a small white bulb is shedding; short broken pieces of uneven length are breakage, which needs a different fix.
When should I see a doctor instead?
If shedding is still heavy after about three months, if your part is visibly widening, or if it comes with fatigue or other symptoms, see a dermatologist. Thyroid issues, low iron and postpartum changes all show up in hair first.
Does rosemary oil actually regrow hair?
The research is early and small, though the most-cited trial found rosemary oil performed comparably to 2% minoxidil over six months for androgenetic alopecia. It is not a replacement for a proven treatment and will do nothing for seasonal shedding overnight. We use it because it is pleasant, cheap and low-risk.
