Drugstore blush is a category I keep coming back to because, frankly, you don’t need to spend $40 to get a good cheek. Maybelline’s Fit Me Blush is the kind of pick I throw in the bag for travel without thinking twice — under $7, gives a fresh pop of color, and disappears into skin without that chalky drugstore line everyone over thirty is allergic to.
The pan is small but the powder is dense. One half-loaded brush is enough for both cheeks. The pigment leans soft and warm — pink for the everyday look I default to, with deeper berry tones if you like a sharper finish. It sits on top of liquid foundation, mineral powder, or bare moisturized skin equally well.
Wear time is the part that surprised me. I expected a four-hour fade because that is the drugstore norm. I got eight on a normal office day with a few coffee runs, and it did not look patchy at the end. Touch-ups are easy because the powder builds without flashbacking.
If you want a Pop of Color that reads natural in daylight rather than Instagram-filter neon, this is the one. It plays well with Skyn Iceland eye gels in the morning, holds up under bareMinerals, and survives a humid commute. For the price, it punches well above its weight.
One caveat: shade names on the back of the package don’t always match the cap color. Test in store if you can, and if you can’t, the pink is the safest universal of the line.
