The Amazon disclosure
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases. Tried & Tested Beauty is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program (United States), the Amazon EU Associates Programme (United Kingdom), and the Amazon Associates Program (Australia) — affiliate advertising programmes designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to amazon.com, amazon.co.uk, and amazon.com.au respectively.
Other affiliate programmes
We also participate in affiliate programmes operated by Sephora, Ulta Beauty, NJewellery, and selected beauty and lifestyle retailers via networks including Rakuten Advertising, Impact, Awin, and ShareASale. New programmes are added from time to time as we expand the brands we cover.
How affiliate links work
When you click an affiliate link on this site and make a qualifying purchase within the retailer’s tracking window (typically 24 hours for Amazon, longer for others), we may receive a small commission on that sale. This costs you nothing extra — the commission is paid by the retailer out of their marketing budget, not added to your price.
Affiliate links on this site are marked with the rel="sponsored" attribute as required by Google, and open in a new tab so you don’t lose your place. We only link to retailers and products we are happy to recommend on their merits — being affiliated does not mean we endorse a brand uncritically.
Pricing and availability
Prices, availability, sizes and shades shown on retailer pages can change at any time and may differ from any descriptions on Tried & Tested Beauty. The retailer’s own product page is always the source of truth — please confirm details there before purchasing. We do not have control over retailers’ pricing or stock decisions.
Editorial independence
Earning a commission does not influence what we write. We have published critical reviews of products from brands whose affiliate programmes we participate in, and we will continue to do so. If a product is not worth your money in our view, we will say so — affiliated or not. Sponsored content (where a brand has paid us directly for placement) is always clearly labelled as sponsored or paid partnership, separately from these standard affiliate disclosures.
Cookies and tracking
When you click an affiliate link, the destination retailer typically sets a cookie that records the referral so any subsequent purchase can be attributed to us. We do not control these cookies and we do not receive your personal information through them — we only see anonymised reporting (number of clicks, number of qualifying purchases, total commissions).
