Taking it to the Streets with Dr. Angelique Campen

This week in Taking it to the Streets is with my friend Dr. Angelique Campen.  Angelique doesn’t look like your normal doctor (mine are all grumpy old men) she looks like a doctor that you would see on TV because she’s so cute and pretty.  She’s a real doctor at UCLA Emergency Room, she’s a mom of 3 and she is a doctor to the stars (keeping them looking fresh and young, we can’t name names).  Angelique is the best.

I asked what this busy beauty loves and why and this is what she had to say:

Here are my  favorite products:

Salon Effects Nail Polish strips: I’ve never been one to have designs on my nails, but these are just too cute to resist.  I love the denim design and the special ones for holidays (candy canes, hearts, etc.)  They are so easy to use; just press the sticker on the nail and file the end.  They last a surprisingly long time as well.

Mario Badescu Drying Lotion: On the occasion of that troublesome breakout, just one dab of this before bedtime and by the morning the blemish has shrunk and the redness is gone.  it is a combination of a liquid drying agent and a pink calamine-type paste at the bottom.  One cotton swab through both layers and you are all set.

Nars aqua gel hydrator: I’m always concerned about putting something too oily on my skin even when I need hydration in the dry winter months.  This is a cream that seems so light, almost like a gel, that absorbs right into the skin and makes it soft and smooth without an oiliness or shine.

Latisse: My last favorite item is my latisse.  No more having to put on false eyelashes or extensions now they are my own.  One drop every night and my lashes are super long and dark.  It is prescription only and takes about 3 months to see the final effect, but well worth the wait.

Thanks Angelique!  I love the Sally Hansen strips they are so fun and easy to do and Nars is one of my all time favorite cosmetics brands! Ladies, Angelique’s lashes are amazing!  I am definitely going to start using the Latisse that I have.
