I have been curious about Mark. Cosmetics from Avon for a long time. Many of the products I tried were used at New York Fashion Week at the Rebecca Minkoff Fall 2012 Runway Show.
I finally tried it, a lot of it.
I’ll start with Mark. Hand It Over, super moisture hand cream ($4.00). I tried it in Pear Blossom, I liked the scent it was light and not overwheleming. It is a sweet fruity fragrance and the scent does stay for a good amount of time. For the price the lotion is great, it left my hands feeling soft and not greasy. It absorbed really quickly in my hands. It isn’t super thick so if you have severe dry hands I don’t know how well it would hydrate. I like it.
Matte Chance, Mattifying Lotion ($18.00). This is a great face cream, you can use it day or night. I didn’t look shiny at all, all day long. My skin looked refreshed even in 85 degree weather. It is made with pumpkin seed, sugar cane and silica. It’s a great cream, I love it! It would be great for anyone who lives in humid weather, has oily skin or if you just don’t want to look shiny.
I tried several of their lipsticks, lip glosses and stains.
I tried Lipclick in Cha Cha ($11.00) which is a orangeish red (not too orange just a hint). It went really smooth, and looked shiny and creamy on. I liked it. The color is fun, bright and would look great on many skin tones. It would look great with a tan. The case is magnetic so it won’t open in your bag. I would definietly try other colors. I would really want to try their Color Shine Lipstick, those colors look fun.
Juice Gems ($7.50), I tried 3 colors. Juicy Honeydew, Juicy Fig, and Juicy Pomegranted. These are great, they smell yummy and give a high shine to your lips. My favorite out of the 3 was Juicy Pomegranted, it’s a sheer pink it gave the most color out of all of them and that was just a hint of pink. These don’t feel sticky or too thick. Three other colors I would want to try are Juicy Papaya, Juicy Peach and Juicy Mango Tango.
Gloss Gorgeous, stay on lipstain ($11.00), I tried it in 2 colors, Bare and Showy. Bare is a really great color, it is not a nude color. It is more a sheer mauve, nude. I love it. Showy is a sheer berry with a hint of red in it. These are very glossy, they look like lip glosses on. But the color lasts for a long time. I really like them.
Next for the face products.
All the Hightlights, Soft glow illuminator ($16.00). The packaging of this highlighter is so cute. It also has an embossed butterfly and flowers on it. It has 5 different shades in it that you swirl around which your brush. I used it on my cheekbones, and it looked great.
Bronze Pro, bronzing powder ($12.50). This is a great bronzer especially for the price. The color is not shimmery and it’s more of a nude flush, that is glowy. I really liked it and it would look good on light to med skin tones.
Good Glowing, custom pick powder blush ($8.00). I tried it in Cameo Glo, I would love to try it in After Glo. Cameo Glo reminds me of a Chanel blush I had used in college. I love the color it’s very neutral. It’s pretty and would look good on many skin tones. I would definitely keep using this!
Just Pinched, Instant Blush Tint in Nude ($8.00). This is the first cream blush I have ever used and I really liked it. It was easy to apply and it looked like a natural flush. I want to try it in Cheeky and Peachy, those colors look really sweet. They are perfect for when you don’t want a lot of color and want to have a natural look.
No Place to Run, longwear eyeliner ($9.00) in Foxy Brown. This is a great eyeliner. I love the color it looked sexy and natural. You can easily build on the color.
And finally the last product I tried was Mark.’s eyeshadow set, On the Dot in Neutral ($16.00). This set is so cute there are 9 little shades of shimmery neutral colors. I love the colors! I definitely recommend this!
Don’t worry if you don’t know an Avon rep., you can buy Mark. online at meetmark.com. I had a great experience with Mark. cosmetics, they are great for the price.
Do I love or leave them?
