Wash Away the Damage

Phyto products have always been among my favorites. I always have at least one product from their line in my hair routine. I recently got an invite for a blowout using their new Phytokeratine line and I was quick to jump at the chance.

This line does not have synthetic or chemical components of traditional keratin treatments in it, but rather botanical keratin, natural proteins, hyaluronic acid, ceramides, and pomegranate extract to reconstruct, hydrate, and protect damaged hair. Just the mention of hyaluronic acid had me thrilled to try this. As I have written before, hyaluronic acid is magic for dehydrated skin. I think it’s genius that they’ve put it in shampoo! The shampoo is also paraben and sulfate free, so it’s safe for color treated hair.

The shampoo and conditioner smell amazing (all from natural ingredients) and they feel great. The stylist also used phyto lisse serum on my hair to smooth it. My hair looked beyond incredible when she was done, and a few hours later it looked even better. It lasted through the next day, but unfortunately, in this florida heat (i know.. even in December) I had to wash it out after that. I did feel like it made a huge difference in the texture of my hair. Even after I washed it, my hair feels super healthy. I’m waaay overdue for a haircut and this really reduced the appearance of dry ends. The Phytokeratine serum (which she also applied to the ends after the blowout) gave it a very healthy appearance.
Do I love it or leave it?

I love it.

If you are growing out your hair and taking longer time between cuts, this line is a must!!! If you need to repair damaged hair, I would run and try this, the results are great. You can get the whole set at Sephora for $56 (an $86 value if purchased separately.)

XO,

Ana
