Favorite Five Fridays, Conditioners!

Summer can be really hard on your hair (it is on mine) so I wanted to share some of my favorite hair conditioners. In the photo it may look like a lot but there are some companies that I like several types of conditioners they make. I have other favorites but since I ran out of them I just used the ones that I had, so maybe I will do another fave five conditioners in the future. When it comes to hair products I don’t like to skimp. I really feel that companies like Fekkai and Philip B put really good ingredients in their products that makes it worth the price.

Ok, so here we go. There are six conditioners here but the only reason is that one comes in my at home hair dye kit so it sorta counts but not available to buy unless you use that hair dye.

These are in no particular order.

DermOrganic Argan Oil Masque, intensive hair repair ($13-$38). I love this conditioner, I love the scent. It makes my hair feel soft and manageable. It is also vegan, not tested on animals, no artificial preservatives, sulfate and gluten free, no sodium chloride, parabens, dyes, Mea (no idea what that is), or DEA (also have no idea what this is), and its pH balananced. To read more on this I wrote a post on it, you can click here to get more info argan oil. I can’t wait for Ana to bring me back pure Argan Oil from Morrocco (hurry up and get back to the US already!)

Matrix Biolage Leave-In Conditioner Treatment ($17.00). I love this, I love leave in conditioners not only do they make my hair feel soft but they also work as a detangler. I also love the scent of Matrix products they smell so good! My hair is thick and long and it works great on it!

Terax Original Crema, hair treatment ($22.00). I miss the old packaging of Terax baby blue, and pink (pictured). I have been using Terax products since I was in college. I love the scent, it’s soft and light. I use this conditioner when I feel like my hair has not been over worked. It is on the lighter sides of all the conditioners I use. This line is shampoos free from harsh sulfates, salts, and artificial colors, and great for chemically treated hair. Other conditioners I love from this line are Miele Hydrating Conditioner (honey), and the Latte Clarifying conditioner.

Clairol’s Perfect 10, color seal intensive conditioning cream. It comes in my hair dye kit so if you use Perfect 10 by Nice ‘n Easy you will get this conditioner. They really should sell it. I love the scent and it makes my hair feel so soft! My color never fades when I use it.

Frederic Fekkai Conditioners ($24.00). I like several from Fekkai, and have been using them since I was in college, and will probably use them forever. Let me start with Technician Color Care, it smells amazing, it works well and it’s pink, do I need to say more? I love it! When I feel like I need a little more conditioning I use Shea Butter Conditioner, I love the scent, it makes my hair soft and manageable. Fekkai Glossing Conditioner, it’s made with Olive Oil and really gives my hair shine. If you use it with the Shampoo just use the shampoo sparingly because it has weighed down my hair and made it look heavy. I also love the Apple Cider Clearing Rinse, I am not sure if they still make it because I haven’t seen it for a while.

Philip B. Conditioners ($10-150). If you have been reading my blog then you know I love Philip B hair products. They literally are on the top of my list. I use one product or another everyday. I don’t know how I have ever lived without some of these products. Philip B. products are more expensive than any other hair care product I use but they are worth it. I’ll start with my favorite one Russian Amber Imperial Conditioning Creme, I was only using the shampoo at first then I got the conditioner and fell in love with it. It is amazing. I LOVE the scent and the scent stays in your hair which I love! It makes my hair look like a million dollars, every time I use the shampoo and conditioner people tell me how great my hair looks. It is expensive (but worth it) so I don’t use it as my everyday (I mean every other day) shampoo. If you want your hair to look amazing, try this! If you want to read more about the shampoo click here: amber shampoo. Philip B’s Light-Weight Deep Conditioning Creme Rinse is great, it makes my hair soft without feeling like it’s weighing it down. I recommend this to someone who wants a conditioner that feels light but needs deep conditioning. It is lightly scented (also smells great). The White Truffle Nourishing & Conditioning Creme, is great for color treated hair or chemically processed hair. It will really make it feel soft and manageable. The scent is not bad but it smells botanically (I know this is not a word) or like herbs, maybe lavender?! I use this conditioner when I feel like I need a heavier conditioner. The Lovin’ Leave-in Conditioner, is great I love leave in conditioners! It makes my hair soft and you can use it on toweled dry hair or dry hair! I will eventually try the entire Philip B line because I am addicted to his products! So I’ll let you know how they go.

For conditioners, find one that suits your hair type. Some maybe too heavy for your hair type. Just because you buy a conditioner you don’t have to buy the matching shampoo. If you need extra conditioning, get a heavier conditioner and make it a mask after you wash your hair apply the conditioner and then tie it up and put a plastic shower cap on, you can apply heat with a blow dryer around the shower cap and then rinse. If you don’t want to apply heat then just tie it up and leave it on for 20 minutes. Or if you are going to the beach or the pool you can wash your hair and apply conditioner (don’t rinse it) and the sun will heat it up for you! Rinse it when you get home.

If you have any questions or suggestions feel free to ask me in the comments! Now go ahead and make your hair look fabulous!
