I am a devoted fan of Nars, I have been using Nars for 14 years. So I try every color that comes out and usually love all of his new lines. I was looking for a coral lipstick but nothing too opaque, I needed to test out wearing a light coral before I graduated to a brighter one. When I saw Love Devotion I knew it was a must. Nars describes the color as a sheer guava. It looks to me like a dark coral. This color is really, really sheer and goes on glossy. It just adds a hint of color on to your lips. Don’t expect the color to go on the way it looks. I have a dark pinkish lips so it makes my lips a little softer and brighter. I love the texture of Nars lipsticks, they are smooth and soft. They leave my lips dewy and not dry. You could layer the color if you wanted to get the color darker on your lips. I did put it over a light pink, sorta mattish lipstick and it made the color pop a little more. It’s a great color for that no fuss summer look, where you want to look put together without looking you tried too hard. I feel like this would be a shade that anyone could wear unless you have very dark pigmentation in your lips then the color may not show. I will probably buy another coral lipstick with more color in it for the summer. Something bright and fun. Nars can be found at many department stores, online, Sephora and some small beauty boutiques. The lipstick was $24. If you don’t want to go for a full coral effect and want something subtle then try this.
Do I love it or leave it?
